Duelin' B-B-Q Sauce
Serves 6-8
½ lb thinly sliced bacon
14 oz can extra small sized artichoke hearts, drained and cut in half
DUELIN' BBQ SAUCE
Toothpicks
Pre-heat broiler.
Cut bacon slices in half and place on a baking sheet. Broil 3 minutes. Let cool.
When bacon is cool enough to handle, wrap each artichoke half in a piece of bacon broiled side facing inward and secure with a toothpick.
Broil 4-5 more minutes or until bacon is brown and crisp.
Brush on Duelin' BBQ sauce to taste and broil 1 more minute.
Serve immediately.
Serves 6-8

Cut bacon slices in half and place on a baking sheet. Broil 3 minutes. Let cool.
When bacon is cool enough to handle, wrap each chestnut half in a piece of bacon broiled side facing inward and secure with a toothpick.
Broil 4-5 more minutes or until bacon is brown and crisp.
Brush on Duelin' BBQ sauce to taste and broil 1 more minute.
Serve immediately.
Serves 10-12
1 pkg fine shredded colby jack cheese (2 cups) or other finely shredded cheese
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1 bunch green onion chopped
1/2 cup mayonnaise (or ceasar dressing)
Optional 1/2 can of black beans rinsed and well drained
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
Combine the above, placing on a flat dish.
Chill for several hours, if possible.
Pour BBQ sauce over the top just before you serve.
Serve with crackers, tortilla chips, and chopped veggies
